1964 QUILL

The 1964 QUILL synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite project was acquired by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). This was the United States first SAR imaging satellite. Unfortunately, prior to the satellite program being declassified in 2012, nearly all of the program records and image films were destroyed.
